policy

returns.

Every deafiant piece is made to order when you place it through Printful's print-on-demand network. There's no warehouse shelf to restock and no resale path for a worn or opened item. Because of that, our returns policy is defect-only: we replace or refund anything that arrives wrong, damaged, or doesn't match what you bought. We can't accept returns for fit, color preference, or change of mind.

what we cover

We replace or refund (your call) for any of the following, reported within 14 days of the delivery scan:

  • Manufacturing defects: broken stitching, torn seams, holes, snags, faulty zippers or hardware.
  • Print defects: misregistered prints, fading out of the box, missing colors, ink smudges, wrong artwork.
  • Wrong item or size shipped: Printful mis-picked the order against the invoice you received.
  • Damage in transit: carrier-caused tears, water damage, crushing. (See shipping for the tracking + photo workflow.)

what we don't cover

  • Fit and sizing. Check the size guide on the product page before ordering. We can't accept a sizing return.
  • Change of mind. Print-on-demand means a fresh garment with no resale path. Final sale on every order.
  • Wear-and-tear damage. Anything that happened after you wore, washed, or used the item.
  • Care-instruction violations. Garments washed against the care label (hot wash on a cold-only piece, tumble-dry on air-dry-only) aren't replaceable. The care page has the per-fabric guidance.
  • Items reported after the 14-day window. We need to file the claim with Printful inside their window; past 14 days we can't process it.
  • Numbered editions + limited drops. Defects still covered the same way; "change of mind" returns remain off the table. These are made in fixed runs and a refund can't be re-sold.
process

how to file a claim.

step 1: gather evidence

Take clear photos that show the defect or damage. Printful's claims process requires this; without photos we can't move it forward. Specifically:

  • A wide shot showing the full item against a flat background.
  • A close-up of the specific defect (the misprint, the torn seam, the missing color).
  • For shipping damage: the outer mailer / packaging it arrived in. Carrier-caused damage claims need the box.

step 2: email support

Send the photos along with your order number (look in the confirmation email or the receipt) and a one-line description of the issue to support. Subject line "defect claim: order #N" helps us triage faster.

step 3: we file with Printful

We open the claim with Printful on your behalf, usually same business day. Printful reviews the photos and either approves a replacement (no shipping cost to you) or a refund. Replacement is the default for in-stock items; refund is the default if the run is sold out or the defect rate suggests a batch problem.

step 4: replacement or refund

Replacements go back into Printful's normal fulfillment queue: same processing + transit windows as the original order (see shipping).

Refunds are processed to the original payment method. Card refunds typically clear in 5 to 10 business days depending on your bank; we don't control that side of the timeline. You'll get an email confirmation when we issue the refund on our end.

exchanges

Print-on-demand can't do true exchanges. There's no warehouse to swap from. If you ordered the wrong size and want a different one, the path is:

  1. Place a new order for the size you want.
  2. The original order is yours to keep, gift, donate, or customize. We don't ask you to ship the original back; the carbon and cost of round-tripping a print-on-demand garment doesn't pencil out for anyone.

Defect cases follow the claim path above; those are replaceable at no cost to you, including for sizing if the wrong size was shipped.

contact

For anything not covered above, reach out. We're a small operation; the person reading your email is the person who'll work the claim.

Effective 2026.05.26. We update this page when the policy changes materially.
